On Sunday, I depart for Miami and Monday morning we board the USS Iwo Jima for a month long rotation with Project Hope. I'm so excited as I have wanted to volunteer with Project Hope in the past, but never have had the opportunity to take time off work.
I don't know how often I'll have email access, so a blog will be the easiest way to let everyone know what's going on. I probably won't be able to upload photos, so those will come once I'm back.

The USS IWO JIMA, in my much younger days I would have loved being on a ship full of men. If I wasn't so happily hooked up, I would still love that. God speed my friend and I will be checking up on your adventures.
